The following applies to the whole of the United Kingdom (so, The Channel Islands, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.


All the above share the British pound (or local derivative) as being their main currency.  It is generally regarded that the most expensive place to live in the UK is London; if you want to save money or reduce your costs, then the further away from London you live, the better off you will be.  Like many countries in Europe, the cheaper retailers (Aldi, Lidl etc) also trade in the UK.
