Too late for private school applications?

Moonpie

Hi,

We're moving to the UK for my husband's work. His company will pay for school for our son so we will choose private school. Our son is 14.

I am in UK now and called some schools in London. They all said they are full and we're too late to apply. It's really hard as we can't choose where to live if we can't get a good school. We need a school first.

Does anyone know how can I do?

Thank you so much!

Hi,

Most private schools in UK intake around Jan for the academic year.

However, sometimes there are places before or after summer holidays. You need to keep phoning them & ask to be placed on waiting list, I suggest to phone a few. No guarantee for the competitive ones.

Do add your son's name to the local comprehensive whilst you wait for a place or move following year.

Good Luck
