Best medical insurance

my wife had a cardiac arrest last year and it's making it very difficult to a quote for medical insurance -we'd love to move to the Paphos area -so who does people use to get insurance to enable them to get visas and not leaving themselves exposed with just real basic cover

Getting insurance with a pre-existing medical condition as a UK citizen applying for a visa or moving abroad can be difficult, as standard insurers often exclude pre-existing illnesses or charge very high premiums.

I don't know if this is possible but worth investigating.

Maybe check to see if any UK insurer will offer cover for your needs whilst resideng here or maybe you already have a private package that might be valid as a resident of Cyprus....

I know I have a UK insurer but for our  joint life cover only and has been valid here for the last 13 years and was valid for the previous 6 years as a resident of Malta

thanks for advice-you wouldn't of needed medical cover as you moved before brexit since then its a lot harder to move if you have any existing ailments -and medical insurance is critical for visas -i will keep trying as my wife and i would love to move to Cyprus permanently -it's a great place to retire and spend rest of our lives

thanks again

Yes I know that my point being that a UK based company may still provide you with the cover you require  or already have it and just need to verify that it will cover you.

Try abbeygate, top quotes,  status,  Atlantic Pacific  for quotes here in Cyprus.

NB I rechecked our policy cover validity when UK left EU. I keep them informed of any and all changes

Just a further note not knowing your full circumstances how old are you are either of  you  likely to be state pensioned by the time you move to cyprus .. so private cover may only be short term  once you qualify for GESY via S1 and whatever residency route you take
