Exploring Matagalpa/Jinotega/San Rafael del Norte

Hi all, just landed in the Nica highlands from the US about a month ago & new to the Nica forum. Love the magnificent scenery, lush greenery & cooler temps of the highlands (not a beach gal, & don't do well with intense heat/humidity!). But could really use some help connecting with other expats in the mountains... I belong to several WhatsApp expat groups & as well as FB groups, but still finding that meetups in the highlands are pretty scarce. If anyone lives in this area or knows someone who does, I would greatly appreciate any tips or suggestions! Thx in advance!
