I have no idea about accommodation in HP but unless you are going for work , why on earth would you want to go there. Might pay to put a post on TripAdvisor and increase your chances of a positive response

Yes Haiphong has not a lot going for it, that is unless you like crime gangs.

Hey, dont say about Haiphong like that...lol...everywhere in this country all have crime gangs.
@surj...which district in HP u wanna come? there is not many foreigners as in Hcmc and dont have any Indian restaurant there.

Yes, definitely try to bring as many spices as you can with you when you come to VN. I like many foods from around the World and I love to cook them too. I brought many spices with me when I moved to VN and they all made it through customs. When I need any additional spices, I have to order then online and have them shipped in to me.
