I've seen a lot of expats struggle with this

Hi everyone, I’m currently dealing with a persistent ceiling leak in my [HDB/Condo] and the management is giving me the runaround about who is responsible for the costs.

From what I’ve gathered, it’s supposed to be a 50/50 split with the upstairs neighbor, but they are insisting on 'hacking' the whole floor which seems excessive (and noisy!).

I found this detailed breakdown of No-Hacking methods like PU injection and the actual 2026 price ranges for Singapore here: HIGHTECH ROOFING Contractors company.

Has anyone actually used PU injection or 'No-Hacking' waterproofing recently? Does it actually last, or should I just give in to the traditional hacking method? Would love to hear some real expat experiences before I commit to a contractor.

Sorry, but that is not a topic commonly faced by Expats - and I doubt that anyone here can help.

Maybe you can consult construction-specific sources instead?

Good luck!
