Meeting and connecting with local Cambodians in Siem Reap

Hi I am living in Siem Reap for at least the next 6 months. I want to get to know more people who are Cambodian and local to the Siem Reap area. Can anyone suggest any sports clubs, activities or places to hang out that would be good for meeting new people and good for getting to know the local Cambodians better?

Any suggestions Appreciated!

Just go to the local  bars and you will meet and pay for their drinks   as that is the custom    the rich pay  the locals dont
But unless you speak Khmer  you wont meet and greet
Meet ex pats and gradually you will imerse with the locals

Except for the lovely girls at the bars and clubs, there are a lot of volleyball games going on around the city at about 5 PM, played by locals.. walk around until you find one (not that difficult).. get in and join a game with the locals
