Hi all,

Newbie on the Kenya forum? Don't know how to start?

This thread is for you ;)

We invite you to introduce yourself on this topic, to share with us your expat story if you are already living in the country,
or to tell us more on your expat projects in Kenya if you are planning to move there.

It will enable us to help you better but above all to wish you a warm welcome.

Welcome on board!

Hi Everyone,

I'm not an expat - I'm looking for one or two to share my home with. After hosting short-term guests for a season, I realised I don’t enjoy the constant coming and going. I value rhythm. Familiarity. Knowing who will be in the kitchen in the morning. So, I’m choosing something slower and more intentional.

I’m opening my home in Ngong to one or two mature female professionals seeking a stable place to live for 1–3 years — especially women relocating to Nairobi or entering a new chapter. This is my private residence, not a commercial rental. It’s a spacious five-bedroom home in a secure, green, peaceful setting. It is comfortable and lived-in. It also requires ongoing repairs and gradual upgrades, which is why I’m seeking steady rental income rather than short-term stays.

If you’re looking for glossy finishes and hotel polish, this may not be the place.

If you’re looking for safety, calm, space to think, and a steady base while you build your life, it might be exactly right.

About Me

I work remotely in finance. I value integrity, quiet competence, and an orderly environment. I enjoy meaningful conversation and the occasional shared meal, but I also deeply respect solitude and personal space.

I recharge through quiet time. A housemate who understands that someone retreating to their room is restoring, not rejecting, would be a beautiful fit. I believe healthy co-living means warmth without pressure and independence without tension.

This Would Suit a Woman Who

•    Is financially stable and pays rent consistently.

•    Keeps shared spaces clean and contributes to a peaceful atmosphere.

•    Lives a calm lifestyle (this is not a party house).

•    Respects boundaries and understands that this is someone’s home.

•    Is comfortable in a conservative, structured household environment.

I’m not looking for perfection. I’m looking for maturity and steadiness. If you’re in transition — relocating, rebuilding, refocusing, or even visiting — and you want a grounded place to land while you build quietly, we may be aligned.
