Cost of living 2018 in Ghana

I will try and give information in the areas I am familiar with
Housing - as with everywhere else it depends on location and the size of the accommodation. If you are buying be careful as it can be difficult to get the requisite paper work but if you do manage to get all the documentation remember it will only be leasehold and for foreigners it is 50 years.
Renting again depends on the location etc but you will also need to pay up to two years rent up front
My monthly amount for groceries is around 1000 cedis but we eat local food for the most part
Fuel is now 4.49 a litre
Water is just over 5 cedis for 1000 litres
Electricity is around .6 cedis a unit. We don't use aircons so use about 12 units a day which means around 250-300 cedis a month but with aircons it could be well over 1000 cedis
Gas is from gas bottles and we use a large one costs about 250 cedis and lasts 6+months as we only have a gas hob
Unlimited internet which is actually capped at 50 GB for 4g is 300 cedis a month with surfline
Phone calls are relatively cheap. I use prepaid and 20cedis lasts me more than a month
A coffee is about 12 cedis
