Living cost in mizan tepi

Hi Karthimizan,

FYI, Mizan Teppi University is a university in 2 cities which are 70 KMs apart and are under 1 management.

Road to To Mizan (All asphalt) is about 580 km. From Mizan, Teppi is another 70 KM gravel road. All of Teppi's roads are also gravel.

Living cost in both are very low compared to Addis Ababa. Generally Mizan is a better place to be than Teppi.

Hope this helps & let me know once you arrive as i usually travel to Teppi.

I am from India and soon i ll be there working for mizan tepi university. Can any one share cost of living for a single in this place. And some suggestions in how to live.

I want to know about tepi university and its town. whether the rice and wheat are available at there? what about medical facilities? how much i ll give the birr for the transportation, if i travel from tepi to jimma? is internet facilities are available. dear friends kindly update me above these questions. pls pls.

Mizan have better low standard hotels than Teppi. Costs would be around 200-300 Birr per day. Houses are low quality but would cost about 3,500 per month. Locals would spend about 30-50 on lunch. Assume not more than 150 for lunch as the maximum.
