Getting my Pet from USA to Ethiopia

Has anyone taken their pet with them from USA to Ethiopia? We will leave in about 3 weeks, and I am trying to figure out how to get an approval letter from the Minister of Agriculture? Has anyone done this? Please advise ASAP!! Thank You!!!

I know this has been posted a long time ago, but did you ever manage to get the import permit? And if so, can you remember what you needed to do to get it? I am facing the same issue. I am using a pet relocation service but none do the import permit.
