Hi everyone
Let's do something positive and heart warming this coming 6th of June.
Marley's animals rescue community shelter are relocating to a bigger shelter in the La Marie area and need volunteers to help setup the new location. Some tasks include: painting, building beds, putting up fences, planting poles, etc.
Marley's shelter is a family that has dedicated their lives to helping sick and injured animals across the island.
They currently look after 122 dogs, and the new shelter will be able to accommodate up to 300 dogs in the future.
Items needed:
Bags of building cement
Bags of rocksand
Bags of macadam
Profilage to create large areas of shade and metal poles to erect the shades.
Rolls off rubber floor mat ( the type you buy by the metre at quincaillerie to be cut and nailed onto pallets for raised bedding indoors and outdoors in the shade.
Metal galvanised fencing 15m rolls 1.8m high.
White paint and stencils to number the kennel doors.
Bricks.
Metal sheets.
Assorted tiles to tile the kennels, these can be assorted colours end of line which can be bought v cheaply.
Hose pipe.
Rebar.
Big bags of Pongo dog pellets.
Dog shampoo, tick flea meds like simparica.
