Hi Gravitas,

Is CTC of marriage certificate required in 1st stage or 2nd stage?

Can you explain me whole procedure of DP for my wife?

It's required at 1st Stage i.e. application stage

This link explains how another member got the CTC in India. It is well worth reading:

https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=741064

Procedure is same as for EP: Stage 1 Approval - VDR - Stage 2 Stamping

BLS can verify some documents https://www.blsindia-malaysia.com/ but its in Malaysia. I understand that if your wife's name is in your passport then the process is much simpler as just the passport entry needs attesting and not the marriage certificate. But this would only be relevant if you decided for her to follow you at a later date. Also BLS is in KL not Penang so not very convenient. So probably getting the CTC in India is the best solution. The above link should guide you.

Details of the documents are from this guide

Hi Gravitas,

We are Indian passport holders, currently residing in Madrid, Spain. We are to relocate to KL as my husband has employment there. My children and I need to obtain a Certified True Copy of the marriage and birth cerrificates for our dependent passes. Could you please help explaining the process to obtain the CTC's.

We had our original certificates apostilled by the Indian govt. before we relocated to Spain two years ago.

We have also re-verified (re-stamped) the same at the Indian Embassy in Madrid last week.

However the Malaysian Embassy here is unable to issue us a CTC as according to their defined process, they are authorized to provide a CTC only of those documents issued by Spain.

Please help and suggest a way out.

We have been told to contact the Malayaian High Commission in India for the required CTC. We wish to keep that as a last resort as we are based out of Spain.

Thanks and Warm Regards,
Anjali
