Hi,
Yes. I opened an account in Rakuten completely online. You have to present the usual documentation like a passport and copy of your visa, plus a Malaysian bank account. After sending the documents, it took 1-2 days for checking then I was sent the credentials to log in, make a deposit and begin trading.

Share dealing is the domain of people who know what they're doing.
If you don't, pretend to buy stocks and see how you would have done if you had really bought them - Don't forget to factor in broker fees.
