There are all sorts of blogs and (Yahoo)groups out there. Can you be more specific, what is the focus of the one you are looking for.

They range in scope from Organic, Health, Group Purchasing, Homeschooling, sports / activity oriented...but some of them are by invitation only in order to prevent spammers getting access.

If you just want to blog why not use this site's blog function?

The one I am talking about is a site where they exchange information but more important when the emabassy people leave they sell their stuff.  I want to tap into this stream.  I have been told the site many times but apparently my short term memory is shot to hell.  Product of a corrupted youth I guess.

You must be referring to Beijing Cafe. It is an invitation only Yahoo Group.
