Hello everyone,

The Olympic Games are now just a few days away and we would like to talk about sports.

What sports are the most popular and/or unusual in Algeria?

Are sports facilities easily accessible there? Where and how can one find sports clubs in the region?

Are there sports events regularly held in the country?

And you? What is your favourite sport? Which one(s) do you practice in Algeria?

Hello there,

Most popular sport is football here, than followed by boxing, handball, athletics, judo...

For the most unusual sport I would say ice skating. Although Algeria does not even have an ice skating arena in all its territory yet, the country is very proud of its National team who has succeeded in may international championships. And guess what? most, if not all of its team members live overseas.

For myself, I love Athletics...the mother of all sports, and running is what I love doing.
