I know Brazil has some strange wildlife, but I've never heard of a "root bear" before. Is it similar to a grizzly, black bear or polar bear? I don't think I'd like to tangle with any of those in SP!
Just kidding...
I actually wondered the same thing before I got here and asked my wife about it... apparently, it's not exactly high on the list of things Brazilians like. Just like peanut butter, which I love, and can't find anywhere or it's really expensive!
