Ok, had a interesting conversation on work with my coworkers, and we can't seem to find answer.
I read somewhere that if you work minimum 10 years in Malta (and pay tax + NI) you are entitled to state pension.
But what if you work 5 years and move away? Are you entitled to anything once you turn 65?

This link explains how it works but if you are not a Maltese citizen then leaving the island means you will not be able to claim a pension unless you have worked for more than 10 years.
