Hello,
Currently I got an offer from Oman and they have requested my original attested degree to be send to them for processing of my job visa, which i have already sent to them....Is it a common norm to provide original degree to companies in Oman and normally how much time it will take to process a job visa....in my case they told me 3-4 weeks??

Yes, original degree with attestation from relevant authority is a must. The time taken for visa processing is unpredictable. It should not take more than 3-4 weeks but anything can happen here.
