There is few different steps if you were man or a women that you should be taking
But mostly easy stuff
Most important to say the shahada
But before you do you should make sure to understand Islam correctly and understand all it requires from prayers and fasting Ramadan going to omrah and all of this you should talk to an imam which it's easily to find in any near by mousqe "masjed" and he will gladly explain everything to you.
Good luck it's really easy, worthy, and helpful to yourself and soul.

Say the Muslim declaration of faith in front of two adult male Muslims.

You're making a commitment that will be taken very seriously, so it's not to be messed about with.

If you go to the local religious affairs department, they'll likely give you some sort of certification or ID card to prove you are a Muslim.
Make sure you're fluent before you do it.

U have to just take the sahada. That's it. There is no hard process for this. Islam is the most easiest religion to follow.

The Testimony of Faith (Shahada)

Becoming a Muslim is a simple and easy process.  All that a person has to do is to say a sentence called the Testimony of Faith (Shahada), which is pronounced as:

I testify “La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasoolu Allah.”

These Arabic words mean, “There is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God.”  Once a person says the Testimony of Faith (Shahada) with conviction and understanding its meaning, then he/she has become a Muslim.

The first part, “There is no true deity but God,” means that none has the right to be worshipped but God alone, and that God has neither partner nor son.  The second part means that Muhammad was a true Prophet sent by God to humankind.
