I think the best place to start would be with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science. I'm not a lab tech, but I believe that it is similar to my profession in that they may ask you to write a Canadian exam to show that your education meets Canada's criteria.
The Society should have the information you need and people to contact with your questions!
