It's near Bangkok. Not a Metro city. But normal city.

Know nothing about the school but its located in Chachoengsao. Its a small town about 60-80 KM a bit southeast of Bangkok. Not many western amenities except for a couple hypermarts. Like most smaller Thai towns it should be cheap to live. If you travel another 80 KM or so you will be at beach areas.
Try posting you questions on forum at below website. Its a teachers site for Thailand and someone will have info you seek.
