Abu Dhabi Visa-- Urgent Advice Needed

Hello Everyone.

I am new in here and would like to seek some guidance n advice from you people who're already in Abu Dhabi.

I am currently based in Saudi and looking to move to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.I actually have a very good job offer form one US company with no regional presence across the entire GCC. Now, the problem is that they had some kind of issues with the local sponsor and have now advised me to get a visa arranged by myself, if possible, as they do not have any other contact.

In a nutshell, my situation is-- If i get a visa arranged i get the job, which is a great opportunity career-wise and if i cannot, I end up losing the job.

What I need to know is, whether it is possible in such circumstances for an individual to explore the visa option, legally? if yes, can anyone guide me to the right contact who can help? Also what types of visa would I be eligible for and require? I tried surfing the web, but it its the same general information everywhere.

Please note that no office is to be set up and I shall be working from home but need to be based in Abu DHabi to have access to the industial area. And i would need an Engineer's visa to allow unrestricted travel within the GCC and also to be able to sponsor my family later on, if required.

Hope you guys can help throw some light on the issue.

thanks in advance.

C'mon guys...nobody knows or can guide??

Could anybody help getting in touch with a PRO?

Hi,

I won't be able to help you much about the visa processing steps but I would suggest not going for this job under the current circumstances. You would be putting yourself in a very risky position by joining a company which is not able to arrange even a visa for you and has no physical presence in the middle east. If things don't work out, it would be very simple for them to tell you that you are no more required leaving you no where.

I do not know about in Abu-Dhabi, but in Dubai if I am not mistaken you can issue your own for a value of 12,000 AED, valid for a year

@BAK- Thank you for the advice. Will keep that in mind. But, I guess this company is just circumstantially helpless to be not able to find a sponsor without getting into any commercial agreements.

@ Pedro- Thanks mate! A sigh of relief...but i also need to know if with this visa I can sponsor my family and travel unrestricted to other GCC countries?

The moment you have your residence visa you can sponsor your wife and kids, but that has additional cost.
I really do not know if the visa requirments for Abu-Dhabi are the same as Dubai.
