Lung Scars

Hi All,

I have query regarding the Lung Scars.

My brother, in India has got job offer from Dubai. But unfortunately He was having TB history.

After taking medication for 3 months doctors are telling that he is FIT now. He don't have active Tb.

But the Xray is still showing SCAR in lungs. He has got LIfetime opportulity with quite good salary.

But I am afraid that he will lose the chance due to lung SCAR.

So I want the advice from you that whether he should come to UAE and give medical test.

What are the chances that He will get pass, as he don't have Active TB?

If he is Deported wheteher he will be blacklisted ? and what r the disadvantages of that?

Please Respond.

Hi to all,

I just want to share my awful experience in Dubai. I came in Dubai this April 2015 under Tourist's Visa. I got hired by a shipping company this June 2015. To cut the story short. When I have to go to my medical exam, my blood exam went well BUT on my X-Ray the Radiologist(Xray Guy) told me to come back tomorrow. I dont have any idea why. I was tested for sputum samples in 3 consecutive days when I got back. After that they called the PRO of my company that we have to go there again. Without informing me I was suprised that I have to be admitted at Muhaisnah Fitness Centre. They didnt discuss much regarding with my case. I stayed there for 2weeks with continous medication. 10tablets per day on an empty stomach. All that they told me that I have a TB and the level of bacteria is +1. I was discharged after 2weeks(minimum no. of days when you will be admitted at Sonapur). I did the iris scan and all. The MFC didnt give any documents or results to me about my exams. All they gave me is a discharge card with what medicines and illness that I have. So how will I know what's really wrong with me? Most of them are avoiding long conversations. I dont know if they are scared of getting infected or only the doctors know our case. After I was released, I am glad that my company allowed me to stay in UAE for 12 more days before I am going to be deported. It is  sad to inform you guys that for the new comers in UAE, it will be a big risk trying to work there if you have lung scars. It may cause you to be banned for your entire life in UAE. I dont have any health issues and I've never been admitted on a hospital. This experience was the first time and I wont forget that. Their federal law regarding with TB Patients is too inhumane and cruel. So now, I am here at my home country trying to rebuild my dreams and hoping to work on other countries. Definitely not GCC Countries. If they don't want us to work for them, so be it. There are much more humane countries that we will not be discriminated. Let's keep our hopes high and dont get tired of pursuing our dreams! Giving up your dreams means giving up your life.

As-salam alaikom.
Shokran jeddan(thank you very much)

As you have said, you have lung scars due to Pulmonary TB also. Did you check it here in Philippines if it is active or is it cured already? Do you have the certificate that you've undergo treatment for TB? If your company will shoulder all your expenses to Dubai, it is good. But it is still a big risk since UAE only accept medical certificates from them only.

Hello anna0930,

Welcome on board :)

Lets try to keep the conversation in English :)

Guess it's just a newbie thing and you didn't know -  so no frets !

Thank you

Maximilien

Re lung scar problem.
Is there anyway to get ride of lung scar on xray result?  On medical examination.

Is there anyone here try to not inhale deep on xrays, so lungs wouldnt expand?

Is there any trick for the xray not to detect lung scar?

Ty

FYI guys, Lung scar is accepted in Singapore as long as the cause is inactive then you'll be given a "fit to work" certificate and pass the medical. Don't push yourself in trouble! Dubai is not the only country that can give you good life. Look around guys!

Yes you can! I am currently working in SG. As long as it is proven inactive, you'll pass their med test and have your work permit approved.

Hi!

What happened to your husband maggy? Im applying in the same company where your husband was, did he pass the medical exam? I also suffered minimal ptb way back 2013..
Pls respond

Thank you.

Okay, so I'm a bit confused.  I am imagining that A LOT of people who travel to Saudi Arabia smoke. I'm also guessing that some of those people might have spots or nodules on their lungs from smoking. Non-cancrerous nodules, but markings/scars nevertheless from smoking. If that is correct, that many people have markings on lungs from smoking or other NON- TB issues, then are all of those people banned, too? Or are people allowed in Saudi as long as they clearly do not have and have never had TB?

Thank you for explaining.

Hi guys! I just want to share with you my story regarding this lung scar. I am a nurse and I was once a victim of a disease called Tuberculosis (TB) since 2009. And like you, i always have that dilemma and fear to apply and work overseas. I have a small scar (fibrosis) on my lungs due to that disease and it haunts me whenever i took xrays for medical examinations. But one of my greatest battle just began when i applied and decided to work in middle east (dubai). We all know that middle east rules are strict with regards to medical examinations especially X-rays. I've read so much about deportation and lifetime ban if you failed your medical examination. Before going here i took my latest radiographic xray and as usual the reading shows that i have fibrosis. I asked plenty of doctors if theres anyway i could get rid of the scar in my lungs but all of them told me that it cannot be erased. In fact one doctor told me that if i have plan to work overseas, he told me to apply anywhere but not in middle east or Gulf countries. I've never felt so down in my life.that time im thinking to get back my application and just apply elsewhere as my doctor said.I lost my focus. But thanks to my ever suportive girlfriend and my family for always pushing me to the next level. I went to dubai and started working in a hospital. After a month, the day has come that always haunts me. Its my medical examination day. Believe me, that day i was not nervous nor uneasy. I felt so relax and calm that day.. After hour of waiting, finally its done and the waiting game begun.  After 3 days of waiting, i asked the PR of our hospital about my result and to my shocked, i received one of the greatest news of my life. He showed me the result and guess what? My lungs are clear and im very fit to work. That time i was so happy and i cant decipher what i just heard and saw. That was the happiest day of my life. I just want to tell all those who are planning to work abroad with the same case as me, just give it a shot coz you'll never know whats gonna happen if you won't even try. Just LEAVE all your worries to HIM and just BELIEVE. Have a great year ahead guys!😀

If you have two tiny lung spots and have NEVER had TB in my life would I be allowed in Saudi Arabia on a visa?

I had tb last 2009 and i undergo 9mos treatment after that whenever i undergo xrays it always show (the fibrosis) in my result. You'll never know if you'll never try my friend.. Take the risk and it'll all be worth it.. Just TRUST him.

Friend ..hi dus dis is ria...i need to know about few details ..u mentioned ur friends are working here...so can u please guide me how dey cracked medical i mean any attestation of reports from home country or any specialised hospital help dey took

God is our great healer. Just Trust in HIM and claim that healing has been granted. NEVER doubt the power of faith. :):gloria .

Could someone please tell me how Saudi Arabia is on this issue? If you have a couple small lung spots and never had TB.

Keep asking but not getting clear answer on Saudi policy.

My husband and I are going through this hell right now. He is from India and I applied for a residence visa for him here in Al Ain. He went for the medical and a few days later I was told to call the HAAD at Al Manaseer. The doctor told me my husband had old PTB lung scars and would have to go back to his country. He had PTB in '07 but was treated, cured and received clearance for his job in India. When my husband went to HAAD they gave him the UNFIT certificate reading only 'Abnormal chest Xray- Unfit' with no further notes and did not order any further tests or give any further instructions. I am afraid to go to Immigration if they will deport him right away and not even allow him to stay the 60 days as specified in the entry permit. Will he definitely get a lifeban and not even be able to get a visit visa? He did have the iris scan at entry, I think they do it automatically now. We are at a loss as of what to do now. The lazy @$$ HAAD doctor did not say he had to go to Immigration right away. I figure there is a no way he will get the residence visa but is there a chance he will get a temporary ban and be able to come back on a visit visa? What will happen if he does not cancel his visa and just leaves before the 60 days are up? These people really have no heart and think nothing of keeping families apart even though there is no medical reason behind this inhumane law.

Hi All! My friend in Dubai had a medical retake in Sonapur/Muhaisna coz hospital staff said something wrong with herxray. SHe is perfectly healthy and no history of TB. she had to give sputum for 3 days and check up with doctor. The medical result will be only given to their PRO not to him. Did this happen to you or ur friends? Will he be deported? pls advice what to do. thanks

Thats very scary, I only knew about this Lung scars after I came to UAE.. is it contagious? an why is it so common among the people coming from the Philippines?

it's not dangerous..Doctors said it's safe.

That's why this law is so cruel and nonsensical - even the head doctor of the Dubai Health Administration said so over 3 years ago but nothing has been done to change it since then.

Is there a difference between TB scar and scar from a cold or non contagious disease? I've read pulmonary nodules are very common on chest x Rays. So I was wondering if pulmonary nodules and TB scars look the same on xrays

robirosa yon bang mga nakagaling na dati o naemployed na sa dubai once na bumalik uli ng dubai e  my chest x-ray pa ba uli o blood test na lang.

Expatriats have to respect the rules of UAE . Millions of expatriates are earning a living here . So the question of discrimination is not in its place . Also inhuman issue is not in its place . Unfortunately you are not medically fit to stay in UAE . It is simple like this and no need to give the issue other boundaries .

Hey Guys,

I came to Dubai though a company, after joining I was sent for Medical examinations, where they did my x ray and blood test, after 1 day my company PRO got an email that I need to come back for more tests (at this stage I was still clueless what was happening). I went to the medical centre they took my blood again and then sent me for a 3 day sputum test, I was called for 3 continuous days for sputum test after that I was given one more day break and was called to see the doctor, where she asked me if I had TB or any lung disease in the past or present as they had found a scar in my lung but all the other tests reports like blood and sputum was normal. I advised the doctor I am aware about the scar which has been in my lung but only discovered it when I was 13 years old. Then the doctor sent me to see the specialist or the main doctor where he asked me the if I had TB or bronchitis in the past or present, also if had been on medications for more than 3 months and apparently all my answers were negative. They advised me to send my company PRO to collect my report after 2 days. And believe me during this stage I was reading these forums about deportation if you a scar in the lung and it scared the hell out of me, but apparently my reports were all normal. They gave me a Fit to stay.

So guys relax as long as you don't have TB or HIV you don't need to worry.

Thanks

@amirasoram Hi would just like to ask what field are you in when you were still working in dubai? Do you think that in hotels or office work it is not so strict in dubai to work. I actually have a lung scar as well. I hope to apply in dubai since my spouse is already there.

@Dudeski I would just like to ask how was your application in Dubai? How long have you been working in Dubai? By the way thank you for your very positive response to people in this forum.

Hi, i got a job offer from one of the gcc countries. The agency told me to get a medical clearance from any hospital accredited by Dept of Health here in the Philippines ( Gamca has been removed thru supreme court decision). After going through my medical exam, i was given a clearance which my agency sent to the gc country for my visa...after 2 mos i got a message that my medical papers were rejected because the hospital who gave my clearance is not accredited by LMRA!!!! That i need to get my med clearance from the listed clinics/hospitals, which upon checking were the same ones under GAMCA...question is...what happened to the supreme court decision of totally removing Gamca???

Hi, i also have a problem on my chest xray..my first xray result i have a lung nodule,i transferred to another clinic wc is also gcc accredited and the result was found normal..im a bit confused whether to go or not! But i know God will heal us and touch our lungs!

Thank you for sharing to us your story! I am also a nurse, my 1st chest xray result they found lung nodule.. I try another clinic wc is also gcc accredited and the reading was normal...so d clinic gave me fit to work on my visa. But im stil worried if when i am in kuwait and they stil found that nodule :( but i really want to take a risk just like your story

Hi honeypolestico,
What clinic gave you a fit to work medical clearance if i may ask. I plan to get a second opinion too.
If you have a fit to word clearance, i suggest you go to kuwait. God will make a way when there seems to be no way...

Hello GCC journey!
I had my first medical here in davao physician...den i took my 2nd xray at medisense davao for a 2nd opinion and my xray was very normal...so they gave me fit to work on my visa..this november will be my flyt to kuwait...i always do a research regarding this problem, thats why im very anxious if i will pursue my journey...what was the result of ur xray?tnx

Hi dudeski

Did you do the normal thing in taking ur chest xray?like deep inhalation and exhalation? Thanks for ur respond

Hi honeypolestico,
My first medical sa jose reyes med is normal kado nung pinadala sa LMRA bahrain they rejected it kc hindi daw accredited ng lmra ung jose medical ( eh di ba since lumabas decision ng supreme court na alisin na ang gamca we are allowed to get our medical exam kahit saang clinic basta accredited ng DOH kaso despite this ruling rejected pa rin ung med ko) anyway i went to angellus med clinic for my 2nd med at dun na unfit ako...hayyy ang gulo
