Canadians living in the Philippines

Are there any expats that are from Canada living in the Phillipines?  My company is opening there and looking for some contacts.

Yes

Yes. Many.

Reach out here and other expat sites, google too. What you are looking for might help.

BTW welcome.

Cheers, Steve.

Not many Canadians in the Philippines who live in Poland or Germany, Wendy.

Sure there must be many Canadian expats here in the Philippines...so too are many other English speaking expats & How about Surigao City any plans of setting up shop here?

:D

Good call mate, hear your wisdom and opportunism, I personally think the OP should give more info to help his/her cause. It could be an oil refinery or bio hazard research institution. OMO.

Cheers, Steve.

He's opening up a pharmaceutical company here and he's looking for some test patients ... I mean contacts to help administer the next best viagra. "twice as strong and only half the ill effects". - Side effects may be limited to but not include vomiting, extended unwanted stiffness and premature ejaculation.

lol just messing with you. Sorry couldn't resist.

There's a lot of folks here from all over the world, some of them probably have not  heard of this site.

You can check your embassy site both PH and CA, maybe there's a group on FB or someway to connect with your fellow countrymen.

That happened to me, but all is well, I looked at a picture of Hillary Clinton and everything returned to normal.

Pictures can be powerful.  I gained 14 pounds during my last 8 month stay in the Philippines,  but by looking at a picture of the obese Whitehouse current occupant I have lost 15 pounds in 15 weeks.  Thanks fir the inspiration, Donnie boy.

Not as easy as before to put on any extra weight with or without the 'pictures'....Just looking at world news/events makes many loose their appetites.

Oh Mugtech . . . . .Lets do the math a pound a week, congratulations that's great and good for your health. If the Whitehouse staff stays current for the next four years, you should lose an additional 1460 pounds.

Typical Trump math, one pound a week for four years equals 1,460 pounds.  If Trump were to be reelected the four years would seem like 1,460 weeks. FYI 1,460 weeks is 28 years.

mugtech you don't know Philippine math, eh?
😂

You are quite right Sir, I stand corrected.  If the Potus  wins the 2020 Erection you would only lose 208 pounds, if the other candidate limps in . . . . .Well, we will have to wait till November 3rd.

When I reach my desired weight I will no longer look at said picture, will happen before 1/20/21.

Congrats! Good for you!

Being obese, like that mask-averse guy with the orange tan, increases ones chance of getting severe covid-19 symptoms and losing his / her life, according to various studies.

The exception is if one has a private helicopter that would whisk him / her to the best hospital at the slightest symptom, have an entourage of doctors and other medical staff to monitor every tiny drop in oxygen and keep his / her butt squeaky clean, access to a cocktail of experimental drugs.

The biggest motivator for me to stay healthy and wear a mask: my family's safety, and a potential PhP1.3 million+ in hospital bills in case I get a severe case of covid-19 and would need intensive care.

My haircut is just under $20 a month. Now I take it every two months, thanks to Covid. $70k would be more than a lifetime's haircut.

I'm really surprised that you turned political.  Your disdain of Trump, with or without Covid 19 is showing. I guess he could have been politically correct in wearing a mask, but if politically correct was his nature then Hillary Clinton would have been elected, but "Orange" was elected.

There are many choices a person makes concerning their health.  What is nice about some nations, they have the  FREEDOM of choice which bests suits them. You made your choice, he made his.

There is more unknown about Covid 19 than there in known. What is valid today can be debunked tomorrow.

Other victims of Covid 19:
Prime Minister Boris Johnson, UK.
Prime Ministers of:   Kosovo, Armenia & Russia

Presidents of:   Belarus, Brazil, Honduras, Bolivia, Guatemala & Burundi

Other Notables:  Prince Charles of UK, Prince Albert II of Monaco, Sophie Trudeau wife of Prime Minister of Canada.

Dear Mr. President please take Uber or Grab to the hospital next time.

Wearing a mask is about protecting others from yourself.  People who don't give a damn about others refuse a mask because it is all about themselves, not other people.  Such a person declares he is cured and not contagious 7 days after testing positive.  What a freedom loving ignoramus.

I guess somebody who wasn't wearing a mask infected the President?

A mask isn't the Holy Grail of protection, but it does makes you politically correct.  It seems political correctness is an important issue.

Masks . . . . .  Cloth, Surgical and N95. What good is a mask if it is not correctly sealed. If not correctly sealed it diminishes its effectiveness. How effective is a porous cloth mask? Worn day after day? The best use of a cloth mask would be to rob a bank.

If you are really concerned about yourself  and others protection , you should be wearing a N95 mask which filters out 95% of very small particles including Viruses and Bacteria.

I have observed more incorrect use of masks, poor sealing, many people constantly sliding their masks up or down, touching the outside of the mask with their fingers while re-adjusting the mask, possibly putting the virus outside the mask. When sneezing or coughing Viruses and Bacteria are forced outside the masks with through the poor seals.

What sanitary actions are done after wearing of masks? Do people sanitize their cloth masks after use? Do people discard their surgical masks after using? or do they keep using them over and over.

Many of occupations require people to be a higher risk serving the public, including government officials.

I'm repeating myself:  More is unknown about the spreading of the Covid 19 than is known. People in the future will question why certain things were done in the past, especially things that failed. The answer is "it was a good idea at the time"

In our household we are starting on our third box of three layer surgical masks.

Sorry to be a little off-topic...
The philippines is still a 3rd world developing country, lets all hope this epidemic shock brings about much needed changes to general cleanliness here by getting rid for the need for open defacation/urinating/indiscrimately getting rid of phlegm through the nose and mouth & by throwing rubbish only into the waste bin & offcourse regular washing of hands. After which lets talk about face masks. This alone in my view will take years to implement.
Again OMHO

Back on topic, I was chatting to my neighbour 2 doors up, he is German but 48 years living in Canada, 49 years married to his Filipino bride, children, grandchildren and a couple of great grandchildren all Canadian citizens and,,,,,,,,    ,,,,,,,,,,   ,,,,,,,,,,

OMO.

Cheers, Steve.

Manwonder  AGREED

There is so much more to take the big step upwards from being a Third World Country.

1942 Japan invades Philippines
World War Two Japan & Philippines devastated.    NOW LOOK AT JAPON
1949 Chiang Kai-Skek flees China for Taiwan          NOW LOOK AT TAIWAN
1950's Korea devastated by Korean war                  NOW LOOK AT S. KOREA
1960 Vietnam devastated by War                              NOW LOOK AT VIETNAM
1970's Nixon opens China                                           NOW LOOK AT CHINA

See a pattern here? Philippines Failed

Chalking up the blacklist score.

Hijacking posts.

I'll start with the blacklist scoring in a new post and even though our OP (what appears to be phishing as another post was removed by the same, canvasing) has not been back I think going this far off topic (yes guilty also) at least I will start a new thread that also will probably be railroaded like this one.

Cheers, Steve.

My company is just opening its 20th country and it is the Philippines. So looking for Canadians or anyone for that matter that needs a Plan B. this would be a great opportunity. As our company did 2.4 billion in sales last year. We are not an MLM, No parties. We introduce people to the company and help them to set up their account and shop direct to the mfg, but in the case of the Philippines we will have a store there . But you have to be a member to shop. We get paid on the lifetime of the customer when they shop. But we all pay wholesale. Love it.  This could help so many families there. Love to connect with anyone that could give me referrals.

Dear enhancinglives:

"Your company?"

Good grief another fool got sucked in . . . . . The business model of recruitment to get somebody else to do the work.

A great business where applicant probably loses money or ends up with a basement full of unwanted items.

OMO but perhaps the classified section is where you should be canvasing?

Cheers, Steve.

Hi Bob, Nope I have been a customer for 21 years and sharing with others for the last 10. There is no company like ours. We are not MLM , No one gets hurt. families actually save money, There is No risk, just information and then they decide. But as I mentioned we have been in business for 35 years and we don't open in a country unless we are debt free. Not many companies can say debt free in 20 countries now. or have the credentials that we have. Not even the company that you work for. Love to connect and prove you wrong. Wendy

Hi Bob, Sounds like you have been in something and have gotten hurt. That never happens with us.  Nope I have been a customer for 21 years and sharing with others for the last 10. Where is that. do I just search on the site.

Top of the page: Discover. Community. Services. CLASSIFIEDS. Jobs. Housing. Forum.

It's a pretty sad sell in my opinion anyway.

Cheers, Steve.

Wendy, What's "We have been in business 35 years?"

"There is no company like our?"

" What credentials does your company have?" (That can be verified)

"Just information and then decide?" (Decide to invest or pay a fee?)

"Debt free in 20 countries?" How debt free is your representatives in those 20 countries?

Wendy I've got you beat, I'm debt free in 192 sovereign nations.

If you're so proud of the company why don't you tell us the company name?

There is a lot of fisherman in the Philippines, are you too? Which kind phish are you going for?

How about investing in Surigao City lots of fisherman here too...Infact i can be the intermediary...fish in exchange for your products.

You know guys/gals, even though the topic got interesting, through the wanderings of the real members and no input from what appears to be a troll or robot until today I personally think it's time to move on and ignore any further desperation from enhancinglives.
Avon rings a bell as well as the door knockers, tupperware is useful but how much can one store?
Probably selling left hand ferret sexers.

OMO.

Cheers, Steve.

I like your way of thinking but unfortunately the OP specifically asked for Canadians, lower offers/clutching came later. Walkaway.

Cheers, Steve.

Hmmnn . . .

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is a duck.

Hmmm...ducks for fish...i'm working on it.

It's multi-level sales of cosmetics. Better have lots of skin whiting products if coming to Philippines, that's why they are looking for pale skinned Canadians.
