Unfortunately, there are no tips. Just  "courage and will".

Strictly speaking, you could already get closer to one of the operational bases of the foreign legion in Africa. They may be able to help you. They are located at:
N'Djaména (Chad), Niamey (Niger), Gao (Mali), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso).

And with a little luck, one day perhaps, you will have the honor to wear the white kepi.
