Hi All,
I would like to share my experience in Cyberjaya, which is a very small town with most of the IT related companies.

You can search for apartments/rooms through the following websites.
www.mudah.mywww.iproperty.com.my and etc.
There is also a facebook group called "Cyberjaya Market Corner" which is very helpful.

The rent around Cyberjaya for a 01 BD apartment will cost around RM1000 and above depending on if it is fully furnished, partly furnished or not furnished.
If you are new my personal opinion is it's better to go for a furnished apartment as you need not buy your furniture and stuff.

However, If your workplace is in Cyberjaya it's best to rent a place closer to your office or else live outside Cyberjaya. Reason is the public transport service is really poor here.
There are no train or MRT/LRT service in Cyberjaya. The buses do not operate in a regular manner. Sometimes you might need to stay over an hour to get into a bus.
So, the best option is to either rent a car or use GRAB car.
The average expense in taking a Grab to work will be about RM450 a month for a distance of 6km a day.

Food is cheaper in Malaysia. However, quite a little bit on the expensive edge in Cyberjaya.
Weekly expense on grocery shopping will be about RM100 per person if you cook your own simple meals. Average cost of a meal here is about RM 10-12.

Medical care of course I do not have much experience on that. However your company will provide you a medical card which you can use cashless at the panel clinics.
If it is not possible for them to treat you at the clinic they will ask you to see a doctor at the hospital, which mostly you might need to pay and claim through your insurance.

Average Electricity bill is about RM100 for a 01 BD apartment using A/C however muchly used only during the night. Water bill is cheap. It's about RM10 per month if its a single person residing. Apart from that there is something called the Indah water bill which you might need to pay once in three months. Electricity bills can be paid through 7eleven stores and other convenient stores as I've heard of. Water bills were paid at the management office of the apartment.

Mobile & WiFi; There are several mobile service providers as digi, maxxis, celcom and etc.
WiFi the best you can get is Time internet depends on where you are located. First you need to check if your location is covered by the service provider and you can apply online. However, if you are a foreigner there will be a deposit you need to pay
