When employers cannot recoup expat teachers' salaries

What's up, everybody?

Often, language centers want to hire foreigners without being able to afford them. One might get an annual contract, but when it's clear that the owners would be bleeding cash, this makes me worry.

Have you noticed the same thing?

Is this an attempt at gaining face, of enhancing a center's reputation and standing?

Some like to play games:

- they "hire' a foreign teacher, shoot videos for a few days, they let him go.
- FREE is good, isn't it? :---)

Some of those fake job offers involve outrageous amounts in USD. Look past those numbers being bandied about...

Please share your experience. I'm speechless, gobsmacked, flabberghasted about the things going down here.

What do you mean by "recoup" ?

I'm guessing he means the centres have too few customers to be able to pay the high salary associated with an expat employee, suggesting they hire with no intention of a long term position on the cards.

Basically, a scam.
