Retiring in Moldova

Hello everyone,

Why did you choose to retire in Moldova? What are the advantages compared with your home country?

What were your main considerations when deciding to move? For example, taxes, ease of transferring your pension, etc..

Are there any specific formalities you had to go through as a retiree moving to Moldova (for example, is there a particular retirement visa)?

What is Moldova's healthcare like? Have you had any good or bad experiences dealing with healthcare professionals?

Do you have any tips for other retirees in Moldova?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Anyone have answers? I was wonder the same things? How about neighboring countries to the south and east?

I was in Moldova visiting my wife in Balti and Visited Chisinau the capital with one Mcdonald's ( I needed a cup of American Coofe so bad) Coffe was good Hamber & French Fred was lousy.

Porch soup (Beat Soup) and Mamlika (Fish with Corn Breafd) was very interesting lunch.

Andy's Pizza was great for breakfast or any time you need snacks.

We ate out three meals a day and it cost me about $2K US Dollars including rent.

Not sure about medical issues, did not need any while visiting,
