Minimum Euro Needed to Move to Montenegro

Hello everyone,

I want to relocate somewhere relatively inexpensive & full of nature. I've been considering a few places & Montenegro caught my eye.

Being outside of the EU, I'd need a work permit & VISA to enter. COuld anyone give advice on the approximate cost of these?

Also, what might be the minimum amount of Euro required by the Montenegro gov't to allow someone to settle there for the first time?

I will be coming alone, & require very little...I have no car, need no elaborate healthcare, no education.

My requirements are just a comfortable apartment, fresh fruit & vegetables, good Internet connection & a mobile phone. I have a Bachelor of Science degree so I'd be seeking a job along these lines.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks Yud.

I hope so...I've posted on 3 different boards, but no reply from any of them. I wonder how often the knowledgeable expat posters actually visit these boards.

Hopefully I'll get some advice soon. :)

Dear Naturefairy,

you can contact Montenegrin Ministry of foreign affairs for the info you need about visa and work permit, as well as Ministry of interior. These are the links:
visa: http://www.mip.gov.me/en/index.php/Visa … -Citizens/
work permit: http://www.mup.gov.me/en/contact

If you need info about towns, where to live, feel free to contact me on this email: municipalityjm@yahoo.com.

Best,

Jelena
