I would imagine it's hard to make friends in Dar. I lived in mto wa mbu and it was hard not to make friends in this area. Hang in there I hope things get less lonely!

Welcome in DAR. make a friend in DAR is very easy ! What you can do try speaking the same language Swahili.
And depend on your life style.
If bored let me be your first friend.

no it's really easy to make friends in Tanzania because most of Tanzanians are very friendly, love to spend their time with foreigners so just be free when you are in Tanzania
