Hi my name is Lisa and I will be moving to the Netherlands next year in January. I am going to be attending the University of Leiden and I want to find my own apartment to live in for the year. I need to have an address in the Netherlands before I can complete my whole registration for the school and country. I have been warned by the school to watch out for scams when looking for an apartment on my own. I am currently using "Perfect Housing" as my means of finding an apartment. Does anyone know of any other sites that are legitimate for me to use in order to find housing?

You can also give pararius.com a try. I use it to advertise our rentals on and it gives you an overview of the market.

If you don't mind having a room in a student house you can also try kamernet.nl (you do have to subscribe for about 30e i think) I found a room quit quickly using that site.
