Job opportunities are slim unless you  speak good Slovak; I have an American friend seeking work now who is finding it hard, and a Slovak friend with very good English equally looking for a job!

As far as teaching is concerned, Slovak authorities demand that all staff have a recognised pedagogical qualification (language schools will be different, no doubt) - but as far as the international schools are concerned, unless they can demonstrate that they need a specialist unavailable locally, they can only appoint staff with the correct teaching qualifications.

Yes, there is opportunities, but you would need some level of Slovak language, at least to deal with clerks. There is currently new law submitted, that also non-certified teachers can teach English, this might be a shot for your son.
