Needs to know about the Cost of Living

Hi, I got Job in Al Jenaibi International Automobiles LLC as a Parts Executive. The salary offered is 300 OMR + Furnished Bachelor Accommodation +Bonus+ Incetives. I need to know how much i can save, what will be the food expenses, how will be the accommodation provided by them (whether it will be 2 sharing..???). is it a good start. Kindly adivce.

Hi Shravan VG,

Automotive business is big business in Oman. Perhaps among the leading 2 or 3 in the private sector. So in a sense it is quite well organised and well controlled.

Therefore the salary slabs, packages, and privileges offered would be on par with what the other leading players in the industry would be offering.

A Parts Executive would only make that kind of money. The income would be mostly driven by performance incentives.

You should be able to manage 3 meals a day for less than R.O. 100/- per month maximum.

Read through the numerous discussion threads under the 'Cost of Living' topic in the forum for useful information on the subject. There is actually nothing further to add to whatever has been published there already. So feel free and help yourself.

Do you have any idea about the accommodation provided by them. As they have told me  that it will be furnished Bachelor Sharing. is it 2 sharing. Please help me out.
