Bula Catherine,

You can try the SPC-Secretariat of the Pacific Community. Ask for the SOPAC division which is the geography department. Perhaps you can start there as an intern. If you know software like GIS you can contact Wolf Forstreuter at the SOPAC division and ask if they need help with processing geographic data.
