I am living in Noumea but dying for some books in english to read. I went to two bookstores today but the stock is small and mostly "cheap" fiction like vampire novels and murder mysteries. I have a copy of David Sedaris's "When you are Engulfed in Flames" but have read it twice. I would be willing to trade that if any of you lovely ex pats have a novel or two laying around? Please respond with any suggestions you might have!
Merci!

Why not go on line to purchase books ??

The Speakeasy English School in Faubourg Blanchot (Noumea)has an English libray, just leave the card (of the book) at reception amnd return the book within two weeks. It's open every day 830 to 1730. Happy reading..

If you are free on a thursday morning at 11 go to the coffee club, there is an expat group who meet each week and there are always books being exchanged.  I have a small collection of my own but am unsure what you like to read.  If you are interested let me know.
