Getting a Job in SA---Please Advice

Post new topic

gogetter

Hi all,

My husband & I have visited SA twice and each time we have come back to England in tears as we have fallen in love with the country. I work in IT as a Snr Business Analyst.I have tried applying for jobs through the internet jobsites like Career Junction etc... but each time I am told by the recruitment agencies that SA employers will only look at my CV if I have a work permit. I have looked into getting a work permit but I'm told I need a job first so its a catch 22 situation.

We are now stuck and would appreciate your advice on how best we can deal with this situation.

Thank you

Many thanks for the reply. I've had a look at the site but unfortunately I don't speak any other language other than English.

Thanks anyway.

Hi, not having much luck

falling in love & being married are 2 different thing hey?

Check the UK websites/headhunters for jobs in SA, lots of the large IT companies, especially banks are recruiting from overseas...
they will arrange your visa, move your family etc If you get an exec. jobs

Warning: life is not easy here, holidays & living here are very different, also any well paid job will be in JHB or pretoria & not by the sea... maybe lucky to get to PE (car industry) or CT.

I immigrated here 5 years ago & on the way out again.....

good luck..

WAHM

Thanks for the heads up.
