Hi All,
Just been reading some articles on another forum about importing your car to Malta..
If what I read is correct it can take up to 3 months to register your car on MT plates.
Also as I have owned the car for over two years there will be no vehicle registration tax on it just the 300 euros registration fee, but the query is, well more of clarification really.
When I submit my UK log book and plates for the Maltese one's that if I sell or scrap the car I would still have to pay the vehicle registration tax which if true seems unfair..
Now considering all this would it be better if we just jumped on a plane and once settled buy a car and save all the hassle...
I think buying car once in Malta is a better option as I would save money by selling the car in the UK, not having to buy a twin axle trailer to bring our goods across (just have them shipped).
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
