My wife and I have just settled in Alicante city and living near the Mercado. We are struggling with the language and would like to meet up with other expats in the city for social get togethers, dinks, tapas, and football.

hi brian i am seeking to buy villa in alicante city can you give any advice about the area? would you recommend it? i thought alicante city because of its' proximity to the airport and beach?
was that your reason for buying there?
i am single lady and would also be needing to meet new people..
other ex pats etc. have you met many british people? or are they mostly up in Calpe and Javea? Julia
