What about meeting the other Alicante Expat.com members in real life? Organizing an Expat.com meet up would be an excellent way to know them! 
An Expat.com meet up can be a diner gathering, having coffee, a bring and share in a nice place, a cultural or sports activity, etc. There are plenty of possibilities: just imagine a pleasant way to meet new people and old friends from Expat.com.
Feel free to organize Expat.com get-togethers in Alicante: you would meet the other members in a friendly atmosphere and have a good time together!
Of course, we could offer some help to organize your meet up and to inform the community.

Expat blog gatherings in Alicante
I have seen this topic bought up in Linkedin and Facebook many times.For instance many entrepreneurs seem to be seeking a get together with others, but Alicante covers a very large area. Not everyone can get to Alicante due to travelling time, which can cause loss of income.
Perhaps a meeting should be held in a different town every week, and a Page/Group for those who wish to communicate out of there area.

My Wife and I are new to Alicante and would love to meet other expats in Alicante city count us in just advise place address & time.

I agree that we should specify.......my understanding that this was a gathering for expats in and around Alicante CITY. If you are in Torreveja maybe it would be easier to arrange on there as there seems to be a fair number of expats there.
If we can get an idea of the number of people that would be interested I would be willing to volunteer to organize. Just let give me an idea how many people.
