Introducing....

Hi all,

I'm Toby a recent ex-expat or recovering Taiwanoholic. I served 9 years before it was time to come home or risk becoming a lifer!

So now I'm back in sunny Brighton, enjoying the ale and the cheese that are less available in Taiwan but missing many of Taiwan's pleasures.

Having returned to the UK with a 10 year gap in my CV, I've gotta use what I've got, so I'm toby-the-ex-ex-pat.blogspot.com of reverse culture shock and reintegration into the UK.

I'm also looking into teaching, trying to get a teaching assistant job. I also wonder about careers using the Chinese thing - perhaps a language school geared towards Taiwanese/Chinese/Asian clientele as well as western business people learning Chinese.

I wonder if I already know any of you!
