I mean, the real internet.. far beyond 'dial-up' for sure. how fast is it? Which internet service prodiver would you recommend or not? and the prices?
any advice will be deliciously appreciate.

speed up to 2mbps if you pay lots of cash. 1mbps is reasonable but not always clocking in at that. wireless connections are the norm but you can buy a modem from the provider if you want to run a cable. providers are banglalion, qubee, pismo... probably several more but i've not heard of them.
