Working as a Physician Assistant in Germany

I'm finishing my PhD here in the States, and I want to do a post-doc in Germany (or somewhere else in Europe, although I already speak German). Finding a position wouldn't be an issue for me, but my partner is in physician assistant school. I realize that PAs aren't recognized in Germany, but I was wondering if anyone had experiences working as a civilian provider at a US military base? I have searched usajobs.gov multiple times, but there never seem to be any positions open in Germany (or Europe). Are these jobs just extremely hard to come by?

No idea about physician assistant jobs by the US military but it is indeed a recognized profession in Germany. I am giving links below to both the English and the German versions of the Wiki articles about it; English so readers can understand but the German version so that one can see the specifics of its status in Germany.
