Planning for Retirement in Guatemala

Post new topic

melinac

Hello, everyone. My name is Melina. I am new here. My husband (born in Guatemala) and I plan on retiring to Guatemala. He was a property in Zona 1 ( small 2 bedroom house), and he will likely acquire another bigger property (4 bedrooms) soon. We find the city too crowded and noisy. I don't speak Spanish very well (though I plan to learn). I've read that Antigua is expensive. How expensive is a 2 bedroom home with a 1 car garage? Does it make a difference if I look close to the center versus 15 minutes away from the center? Can you recommend some places, please? Thanks in advance.
