About

I am leaving a country that I did not choose and which disappoints me more every day. I choose Bulgaria because the distances that separate me from France (where I still have family obligations) are not too great, the cost of living is lower even if the infrastructure is lower too, a new life and learning a new language, meeting people who I hope are more human than in France and also the charm of the sites to visit attract me. Thank you for welcoming me among you.
Interests: jardinage, vélo, crochet, ... recevoir les amis pour parties de tarot, moto, pratiquer en soft : marche, décoration, chats ou autres animaux, tricot, bricolage même gros travaux

Occupation

I am Retired.

My expat journey

Varna, Bulgaria

Since Mar 2019

Varna, Bulgaria

End my peaceful life in a pleasant country and offer myself here everything that I could not have afforded in France thanks to a very attractive cost of living in Bulgaria.
It's behind me! I am learning how to use my free time.
The proximity of the sea and Varna, a very pleasant climate, very welcoming Bulgarians, numerous Expatriates from various backgrounds. Almost no taxes, reduced administrative formalities, the freedom to insure your car and your home, an efficient Internet network and much more...
The kitchen is not great. Shopping is an obstacle course but supermarkets offer many foreign products. The lack of seriousness of the Artisans who come whenever they want. We adapt... Some surprises after installation in the house. Wild dumps but there are some in other more "civilized" countries, stray animals and nothing very important.

It's in the past. I no longer recognize today's France as my homeland.
I had an interesting professional life at a time when you could still work with pleasure and make your way according to your worth.
France is a magnificent country... without the French or what's left of them...
The cost of living, administrative hassles with recurring errors by civil servants, a general renunciation in both the private and public sectors, and many other things whose list would be very long... The result is a country in full decadence, everything is "pulled down" and I no longer believe that the trend will be reversed.
