About the candidate
Human Resources (HR) Professional: To support the organisation by effectively managing HR functions, ensuring compliance with labour legislation, building strong employee relations, and contributing to a positive, productive workplace culture. The role focuses on HR administration, recruitment, performance management, employee development, and ensuring efficient HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Selection
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes.
Prepare job adverts, screen CVs, schedule interviews, and conduct reference checks.
Support onboarding and orientation of new employees.
2. HR Administration
Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
Prepare HR reports, contracts, and correspondence.
Manage leave, benefits, and personnel filing systems.
3. Employee Relations
Assist in handling employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters.
Guide line managers on HR policies and procedures.
Promote fair labour practices and assist with CCMA documentation when required.
4. Performance Management
Support the rollout of performance reviews and development plans.
Track employee performance documentation and follow-up actions.
5. Training and Development
Coordinate training sessions and maintain training records.
Identify skills gaps and support employee development initiatives.
6. Policy Compliance
Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act, BCEA, EEA, OHSA, and organisational HR policies.
Assist in developing and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
7. HR Reporting
Generate HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, recruitment timelines, etc.).
Provide monthly reports to management to inform decision-making.
