IRPF - Late submission fine

martinsan

I received a fine for the late submission of my tax return. As far as I understand, the issue was that my partner used an old version of the IRPF desktop program, and it was submitted for fiscal year 2024 instead of 2025. I've already contacted an accountant who submitted a correction for 2024, a new one for 2025, and filed an appeal for these fines. My CPF now appears as regular.

My concern is that on the gov.br website, IRPF 2025 still shows 'Pendencias' and the fines, even though it’s been about two months since my accountant submitted the corrections and the appeal. According to him, the fines should eventually disappear, but it could take some time. Has anyone had a similar experience? It would be helpful to know if there’s anything else I can check on my side. I had no luck trying to contact the Receita Federal directly...
