HPV ( Human papilloma virus )

justin6282

Good day all, I have been offered work in Riyadh. It is with a very good hospital. I am (3) quarters of the way with the application process however I am at my second to last part. ( MEDICALS ) I am a female and have tested positive for mild HPV ( Human papilloma virus ) been tested for cancer and malignant cells and this came back negative. I am worried this will hinder my process. Dr ( Gynaecologist ) has given a motivation letter to say I am fit to work...Has anyone gone through this before and what was the outcome?Worried and stressed

Regards

Liz

No one tests for HPV as the testing requires a cervical or penile swab which is too invasive for a disease which to be honest, not many people in the Middle East are even familiar with.  So as far as visa medical goes, this is not covered.

Hospitals do their own set of tests for infection control purposes - for their employees.  And to my knowledge, hardly any would test for HPV.

Thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. HPV was not a required test, however because my papsmear came back with - "atypical squamous epithelial cells of undetermined significance (ascus). are present"

I had to go for a Cevix biopsy... this test result showed mild HPV and NO malignant or cancerous cells.

I am still in SA busy with the process and now waiting for the Employer ( Hospital ) to clear me before I move on to the Visa process....

I understand that once in Saudi should the employer clear me I would need to go through their set of tests.

Another issue was I tested positive for TB gold, negative for the Mantoux test and Xray Clear.

Thanking you in advance for you help. really appreciate it.

Pap smear is also not needed for visa medical.  Maybe your employer asked for it.

Noted, and regarding the TB?

As long as chest x-ray is fine, rest is OK.
