"people are getting illegal immigrants (usually from Africa) to do such job" - in that case report them to the authorities, whether from Africa (where we ALL come from) or elsewhere. If they are working, they are almost certainly not illegal immigrants, but irregular immigrants whose status has been regularised.

I was considering a move to malta but i dont think would be able to earn as good a wage as i do in the u.k. would love to live there but dont think would like the drop in wages

yep, reality is generally jobs in Malta pay substantially less than the equiv in the UK - living costs are also lower, but not enough to make up for it in most cases

welcome to the forum.

The building industry in Malta is in recession, methods are totally different and salaries are very low.

The Maltese sun is on the positive side but not enough to make up for all the other disadvantages. Earning a good wage in the UK is something to hold on to.

Some use a system of aluminium framing onto which gypsum plaster board is then mounted and skimmed with plaster... but its not a massive thing here as its expensive and is usually used where severe dampness is evident.

Agree with the other comments regarding pay levels - very low - many people here have two or even three jobs to make ends meet.
