Tax Deductions

jw101

i’m down here long-term for work. I’m wondering, are there tax deductions on my territorial return that I need to be aware of and planned for to minimize my taxation? In the mainland I don’t itemize deductions because I never have enough. However, are there things like payment of sales taxes, donations to charities, housing cost, or otherwise that I can deduct here regardless of standard deduction?

can I deduct the income tax tax I still have to pay to my home state since I’m not fully relocated but only staying down here.
